EDSA news update

The European Dental Students Association (EDSA) has two key events coming up in the summer for members and interested parties outlined below:

1. EDSA Summer Camp - Copenhagen, Denmark- 3-9 August 2009
All dental students and young dentists are warmly welcome to participate.
The camp offerings seven days of city, beach, cultural experience & parties. Sightseeing tours by motor boat and bicycle will be organized to the Viking capital Roskilde, Copenhagen city and surroundings, Shakespeare 'Hamlet' place and Sweden. In addition, training on Dragon boat and competition are offered. The optional professional program includes periodontal lectures and oral prophylaxis workshops followed by distribution of oral care gift products.

2. 44th EDSA Meeting & 35th ADEE Annual Meeting- Helsinki, Finland- 23-29 August 2009
EDSA Delegates from each country member gather twice a year in a different European city and discuss current Dental and Educational affairs, make suggestions on future activities, promote solutions and take decisions.

The autumn EDSA General Assembly is held a few days immediately before each Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) Annual Meeting, which allows sufficient time for students to discuss the relevant ADEE scientific theme and then facilitate a number of the working and special interest groups at the ADEE Meeting.
Registration deadline is 10th of July. The registration fee is €280 if you’re only attending the EDSA Meeting and €360 if you’re attending both the EDSA and ADEE Meetings.
